Nail Prep
Firstly, if you are wearing any nail polish remove it! Clip and file your natural nails if necessary.
{Pro Tip - File around the edges of your press on nails so they fit the natural shape of your cuticles, for a seamless application. }
Next wash your hands and fingernails thoroughly, making sure they are free from any dirt or hand creams/oils.
Once your hands and nails are nice and clean - dry them off, and gently push back your cuticles using the orange wood stick provided. Clip cuticles but not mandatory if necessary.
Using your buffing cube lightly buff the complete surface area of your natural nail. Only buff away the surface shine, excess buffing is not necessary and can damage your natural nails.
Wipe down your natural nail with your alcohol wipe -this is a very important step! As adhesives will only stick to clean dry prep nails and doing this will remove all dust and moisture/oils from your nail.
You can follow on from this step by using a dehydrator and primer if you wish (optional), this is what professional nail technicians apply before all services - allow primer to dry before the next step.
After completing the previous steps your nails are all prepped and ready for application!
Adhesive Tabs Method
The use of adhesive tabs will allow you to reuse your nails and provide you with a temporary wear time ranging from several hours up to 1-3 days, the perfect option for a night out or special event!
Select the tab size that fits your natural nail the best without it touching the cuticle and sides of the nail wall.
Using your fingers or a pair of tweezers remove the tab from the sheet and place the sticky side on your natural nail, pressing out any bubbles to ensure a strong bond.
Peel off protective backing on the tab. Apply a false nail on top, starting from the edge of the cuticle and pressing down firmly for 10 seconds. Then repeat on all fingers.
{Pro Tip - Combine with nail glue for an even stronger hold!}
Nail Glue Method
The use of nail glue will provide you with an estimated 1-3 weeks of wear time. For the strongest bond we recommend purchasing our gel resin glue.
Getting started! be very careful not to apply too much glue as it can seep out onto the surface of your false nail.
Apply glue to the centre of your natural nail, without touching the cuticle and sides of the nail wall ‘Optional apply to back of false nail as well.
-
Apply a false nail on top. Starting from the edge of the cuticle and pressing down firmly to remove any bubbles, hold for 10 seconds then repeat on all fingers.
Nail tabs & Glue Method
1. Apply nail tab behind the press on nail
2. Apply glue on your natural nail *Optional apply glue on press on mail as well*
3. Follow Pro Tips!
{Pro Tip - Push the false nail slightly and gently under your cuticle for a more natural look!}
WARNING!!! PLEASE DO NOT wash your hands for the first 3-4 hours after applying your nails, the adhesive takes time to completely set and bond to your nails.
Press On Nail Removal
To remove your false nails correctly, without causing damage to your natural nails will require some time & patience.
Therefore, Turn the Tv on or jam out And relax with your favourite show while your nails soak.
Pro Tip - Before you start, ensure you have everything you need out and ready for use.
You will need the following:
* Large bowl to soak hand in
* Coconut oil or cuticle oil
* Liquid soap
* Cuticle pusher
Start by filling the large bowl with warm water and a teaspoon of your favourite liquid soap. (The hotter your water is the better! As this will soften the gel your nails are made of, thus allowing them to flex and pop off with ease)
Apply a generous amount of Coconut oil or cuticle oil to your nails and submerge fully into the soapy water. Leave to soak for 10-15 minutes.
Use the cuticle pusher to gently slide in between the false nail and your natural nail, lifting all the way around starting from your cuticle area. Using a side-to-side rocking motion your nails should start to pop off with ease. (do not rip them off or pull up and down) If your nails do not come off with ease start the soak off process again with fresh warm water and more cuticle oil.
*Alternatively if you do not wish to reuse your nails, You can go ahead and do a 100% pure acetone soak off, make sure you moisturize before and after since the acetone tends to dry out your skin and we don't want that, am I right? *
